FACILITIES

THE SITE

Set in five acres of ex dairy pasture, and surrounded by working agricultural farmland, our campsite is very flat with far reaching views to the Alton Barnes White Horse and into the Pewsey Vale. The dairy was established on the site in the early 1970s and operated until 2008.

 

It’s not just humans who we welcome to the site! We have so many wild visitors including many species of birds. When we first arrived in 2009, a family of Little Owls nested above one of our barns. We’re trying to encourage them back to live here but during Summer evenings they can be seen busily bobbing across the field or perching on a fence post.

LITTLE OWLS FACILITIES

We offer a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with the basics for caravans, RVs & camping, and a back to nature experience. You won't find strictly designated pitches here, simply check in with us on your arrival and find your perfect pitch!

Please note that we do not have showers or electric hookups. Sadly our plans to develop our services to include these has been put on hold due to the current economic situation.  Hot water sinks and phone charging points are available. Thank you for your understanding.

  • 3/4 acre level grass pitch

  • Open all round round

  • Space for 5 caravans/campers/RVs & 10 tents 

  • Water point in the centre of the camping area    

  • Chemical waste disposal (septic tank friendly waste) to one side of the site    

  • Toilet block with 4 sinks & loos   

  • Pet Friendly Site (on leads) 

  • Child friendly (leads not required....!)  

  • Barbeques & firepits allowed   

  • Help yourself to firewood on site for a donation to our charity box  

  • Ideal Dog Walking    

  • Free range eggs on site from our own chickens

100% FREE RANGE

Our hens are happy hens! They have a huge coop and area in which they range free eating grubs, seed & the odd unlucky insect! This produces delicious eggs and these are available for you to buy on site every day.

GOODIES & GIFTS

We have lots of little goodies & mementos to remind you of your stay at Little Owls including the occasional local crafts.

 

Our wonderful friend Krissi makes these lovely bits & bobs for us and sells lots of interesting pieces such as seed bombs on her Etsy page.
